3mm oval rubbers beads are now called hook point protectors as we have used them for this a lot over the last year to good affect. With the two colours you can have brown ones on bottom bait rigs and green ones on pop up rigs. Also great when casting to a spot and clipping up, once you are spot on take the bead off and make final cast saving your hook point.
