The Nash Scope Range revolutionised carp fishing as we know it. Specific rods, nets, luggage, and accessories, all designed for the angler who needs to travel light and stay mobile. The Scope Rods are arguably the product most people think of when the word Scope is mentioned, but the Scope Luggage Range has been quietly going about its business and turning heads. Now though, there is a new kid on the block; The Nash Scope Ops Luggage!
THE NASH SCOPE OPS LUGGAGE RANGE OVERVIEW
The latest range of Nash luggage is as expected, the best yet. But what makes it so good?
Well, the first element must be the thought that has gone into the range of products, but with great fishing minds such as that of Alan Blair at the helm, we are not at all surprised.
As with all great products, though, it is the details that usually set them apart from their competitors.
The latest offerings fall under the Nash Scope Ops Range, first thing you’ll notice is the smart camo pattern that has emerged onto the range, the pattern itself is one of the better camo patterns we have seen, really adds a nice touch to what would otherwise be just another offering of olive green.
I think our favourite item of the Scope Ops range has to be the Ruckall. It is a very clever design, tradition, and innovation.
The Scope Ops Ruckall is based on the proven ‘Ruckall’ design that marries a rucksack and a traditional carryall. The main issue with rucksacks is that you must access the main compartment from the top and rummage around until you find what you are looking for. This process is made somewhat easier in a traditional carryall, but unfortunately, transporting carryalls can only really be done on a barrow.
This is where the Ruckall comes into its own. Looking like a normal rucksack from a distance, but look closer and you’ll see a zip that circumnavigates round the entire bag, meaning that the Ruckall effectively opens into two halves, making access to the bits you need an absolute breeze.
The features that set the Scope Ops range apart do not stop there. One half of the Ruckall is constructed from a cool bag material, so you have space for your fishing kit essentials on one side and space for food, bait, and brew kit on the other, all kept cool and ready for consumption either by the angler or a hungry carp.
There are internal pockets galore, and we love that. Almost as much as we love the neat little external pockets that accept banksticks with alarms attached, such a simple idea, but one that saves time and allows you to get fishing so much quicker.
There is even a dedicated storage strap for allowing an unhooking mat to be attached, one less thing to carry and another clever little touch from the Nash Tackle product development team.
The outer features a hard-wearing base material, so that when the Ruckall is opened, the muddy or gravelly banks won’t cause any harm. The carrying system is well thought out and well positioned, extremely comfortable when carrying a full bag and the handy grab handle makes lifting a safe and effortless process.
These neat features and design habits are standard across the entire Scope range of luggage. The Scope range is designed to carry less kit with it. Many of our team here at TFT use the Ruckall and the accessory pouches in conjunction with their usual carp fishing luggage.
