Manufactured as part of the exceptional Alivio CX range, Shimano’s Alivio CX Match is a top quality rod that showcases Shimano’s commitment to creating outstanding tackle for anglers on all budgets. An entry level rod, this Alivio CX Match is ideal for the novice and junior angler too.
With an XT30 carbon blank this rod is both lightweight and strong, offering a fantastic forgiving fish playing performance which is perfect for all match fishing environments. The XT30 carbon is mixed with Geofibre in this blank. Geofibre is a material which has been exclusively developed by Shimano in order to create a blank that is rigid and offers high tensile strength without breaking the bank. Geofibre is derived naturally making it ideal for rods on the mid-to-low end of the price spectrum.
Available in 13ft and 14ft lengths this rod is best suited to the bigger venues on the match fishing circuit. Both the rods are fitted with Shimano’s Hardlite guides. Hardlite is a strong material that balances performance and durability perfectly. Constructed of stainless steel with an aluminium oxide coating, these guides are perfect for use with braided mainlines as well as other line types.
