If used in a confined space, they can be very dangerous due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Check that your heater carries a carbon monoxide alarm or shut off.

The simple answer will be the level of insulation they offer. More expensive boxes will be better insulated so keep your contents colder for longer.
