Best Carryalls for Carp Fishing: A Total Fishing Tackle Review

Best Carryalls for Carp Fishing: A Total Fishing Tackle Review
There is a massive choice of carp fishing luggage on the market, but what sort of luggage is best for you? We asked our resident blogger to start with the best carryalls for carp fishing. Any old carryall will do, surely? Well, not quite. Making the right choice when it comes to your luggage will provide you with a safe and secure way to transport your expensive fishing tackle and save you a few quid in the long run. So what things should you be looking out for? Check out my carryall criteria below!
 Carp Fishing Luggage

  1. SIZE - carryalls come in a variety of sizes and shapes, so make sure you choose one that is right for you and the amount of gear you take. If in doubt, get one that's slightly bigger rather than smaller, that way, you'll always have room.
  2. BUDGET - How much do you want to spend? In a nutshell, the cheaper the carryall, usually less padding or protection and features. The more expensive ones are usually well-padded and with lots of extra pockets and features.
  3. WHAT FISHING DO YOU DO? - If you only fish short day sessions and occasionally overnight, then you won't need masses of carryall space. If you prefer longer sessions, then get something that can fit in all your tackle, bait and a spare change of clothes.
With these three points in mind, I have chosen my favourite carryall from three different price points to suit all requirements.......

KORDA COMPAC CARRYALL RANGE

Korda has released their own luggage range, and the Compac Carryalls are definitely worth a look. They come in four sizes ranging from small up to XL to cover every angler's requirements. If you just fish day sessions, then the small size will be perfect. Long sessions anglers will appreciate the extra space that comes with the XL version. All the carryalls are designed to accommodate the Compac pouches in the outside and end pockets, this is a great way to segment all your kit to avoid having to rummage around for a head torch in the middle of the night! Prices start from £59.95 up to £74.95. A great opener in our list of the best carp fishing carryalls.

THINKING ANGLERS COMPACT CARRYALL

Size isn't everything, and this is also true for carryalls! Thinking Anglers pride themselves on producing kit that will help anglers, and the compact carryall is a great example. Despite the name and the apparent small size, the Compact Carryall is surprisingly spacious. There are plenty of neat little pockets for all your bits and pieces; the material, stitching and zips are all top quality. One smart feature is the pocket that sits on top of the carryall, a clever addition indeed. The Compact Carryall is available in the olive green or camfleck pattern and priced at just £39.99 for the olive green colour! A great addition to our list of the best carp fishing carryalls!

CULT TACKLE DPM CARRYALL

Every now and then, a product comes along that is just really good! The Cult Tackle DPM carryall and, indeed, the entire Cult Tackle range is superb and super amazing value for money. Now, I am a sucker for some classic DPM, so I was immediately drawn to the Cult luggage range; little did I know just how good it was going to be! I absolutely love this carryall; the zips stand out as they are, quite frankly, superb. There are pockets on 3 sides to house all your tackle, and the main compartment will swallow a good amount of kit too. The best bit is, all this costs just £34.99!! There is also a bigger version and a ruckall that can be thrown on your shoulders if required. All bases are covered, and a great end to my list of the best carp fishing carryalls.

Fishing for me has long been more than a hobby, but more of an obsession. Since as far back as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by water, and all that which lives below the surface, and subsequently, as soon as I was old enough to hold a fishing rod, my angling journey started.
