The Alivio Boat is a fantastic value first boat rod for occasional anglers or those new to the sport. Both models are short in length making them easy to handle, yet retain the power and action associated with more expensive rods, with the added advantage of have a short transport length.
You really can’t go wrong with an Alivio Boat rod. At such an affordable price they make the perfect rod if you are looking to explore the world of boat fishing. Slightly shorter than the usual 2+ metre length of a traditional rod, these fantastic rods are very easy to handle and play fish really well. Plus, they also have a short transport length of less than 1 metre. making them ideal for taking on holiday or transporting on public transport.
The composite construction of the Alivio Boat is virtually indestructible, making then the ideal first time rod for youngsters or inexperienced anglers. Available in a super short 1.35m (150g) length or a slightly longer and stronger 1.50m (200g) length they are easy to handle and certainly have the power and torque to fight large fish whilst also being exceptionally convenient to transport. Fitted with Shimano Hardlite guides that are suitable for mono and braid line, an EVA handle and a versatile DPS reel seat, the Alivio Boat is a stunning example of Shimano value.
