The brushless design is maintenance-free; there is no wear and tear on carbon brushes as are installed in conventional motors. The motor is suitable for operation in salt water. The Sport mode (activated via the S-Mode button) brings the engine directly up to maximum performance, and the Vario Speed principle also allows stepless speed control both forwards and backwards. The new display provides information about battery charge, the current engine power and other useful operating conditions.
The newly integrated PWM technology provides maximum range per battery charge. An electronic protection function in the event of an overvoltage, short circuit or overload, removes the need for an extra ballast fuse. The motor also has a USB port for charging phones or lamps. The tiller is extendable, and the shaft is made of stainless steel. The shaft is folded up by the lever release, the immersion depth of the propeller and the steering resistance are infinitely adjustable. The ultimate motor for the serious boat angler.
