Gardner GT HD
Anglers who use the Gardner GT HD line sing its praises highly.
Whether you are fishing close-range hit-and-hold or thumping leads long, this line is a proven winner. The low stretch transmits the drop lead clearly and flies through the rod rings with ease.
Its high abrasion resistance, low visual greyish-green colour, and low diameter and fast sinking properties make it a great all-around line for all but the most extreme ranges or specialist situations such as floater fishing.

Gardner GT HD Tapered Mainline
After countless requests from anglers to create a tapered version of their flagship main line, the GT-HD, Gardner has listened and they have now delivered! Including all of the great features of standard GT-HD, the tapered is made from the high-grade copolymer formula, created with cutting-edge manufacturing processes, which results in a line of superb quality and reliability.
Tapered main lines offer an ingenious and knot-free alternative to using shock leaders with a dual taper at either end, going from 0.50mm leader tapering down over 8m to 0.30 (12lb) or 0.33 (15lb) mainline. Being dual tapered, the line can be reversed when needed for another 8 metres of tape, meaning the risk of cracking off when putting the rod under the heaviest loads when blasting 4-5oz leads for extreme distance is massively reduced, whilst its low stretch means you don't lose feel. A superb line, and one for those extreme distance situations.

Korda Longchuck
Korda’s newest addition to their mainline range sees the addition of Longchuck, which does exactly as it says on the tin.
Longchuck has been specially designed for long-range casting and adds extra yards to any cast compared to standard monofilament lines.
Ultra-low in stretch, Longchuck enables better transmission when feeling the lead down and faster loading of the rod blank. You waste less energy and compress the rod more efficiently.
In addition, Longchuck’s clear nature (meaning it's not dyed), and its low water absorption design keep the line lightweight to help it reduce drag. This further aids transmission, whilst keeping a reduced diameter and high breaking strain. Korda Longchuck Tapered Mainline
In addition to Korda’s newest mainline they have also launched the Longchuck Tapered mainline, which is for those who want extreme range!
The Long Chuck Tapered Mainline retains all of the properties of the normal longchuck, but the tapered comes on a 300m spool, and at each end of that it features an 8m section of 0.47mm (30lb) diameter line designed to take the force of the cast - as well as offering good abrasion resistance when playing a carp – plus a 2m tapering section down to whichever diameter of mainline you have chosen. It is the same at both ends, so should you experience a cut-off, you can reverse the line on your spool and use it again.
It comes in a choice of 10-30lb (0.27-0.47mm); 12-30lb (0.30-0.47mm); and 15-30lb (0.33-0.47mm) in green or clear
Thinking Angler’s OGX
The OGX is Thinking Angler’s first foray into the mainline market, and they have come straight in at the top end!
