Ever had a carp escape during water shots? The Easy Float Retainer is the evolution from our original Failsafe Retainer, transforming from a secure retention sling into a floating corral for safer fish photography.
If a carp isn't cooperating during photography, it can be safely lowered back into the open Easy Float Retainer and allowed time to settle before another attempt. This reduces stress on the fish, makes the photography process safer and more controlled, and reduces the risk of a carp escaping.
The Easy Float Retainer now requires no additional assembly to switch between retention mode and the open floating corral configuration, making it quicker and easier to use on the bank and of course, to minimise transferring the fish between items. Also ideal for using as a weigh sling in itself.

- Soft-touch mesh sides and base improve water flow, providing more accurate weighing and faster drying
- Camo top panel reduces light penetration whilst fish are being retained, helping to reduce stress and aid short-term recovery
- Fully reflective paracord illuminates under torchlight for easy location and stores neatly in a dedicated pocket to help prevent trip hazards
- Retention cord features a large split ring with a 3/8" thread, allowing it to be pegged to the ground, fitted over banksticks or screwed directly into a bankstick for maximum security
- Heavy-duty zip secured with a locking toggle to prevent accidental opening during retention
- Doubles as a weigh sling, featuring reinforced stress points and a carp-shaped base
- Foldable arms for more compact transport
- Finished in the Subterfuge camo pattern
