When it comes to tying up your zig rigs, the new ZIG line is the perfect choice of hook link material and is purpose designed for this type of situation, as well as being great for floater fishing.
ZIG has reduced stretch, which helps when it comes to hooking fish on zigs and on the surface, and it is low diameter for its breaking strain at just 0.22mm for the 7lb version; 0.25mm for 9lb; and the 11lb breaking strain line is 0.28mm.
The low diameter makes it harder for the fish to see it mid-water, or on the surface due to its reduced silhouette, and these camouflage properties are aided by its tinted green colour.
Despite these properties it is still quite a tough line and has a very high knot strength as long as you are careful, with Palomar and knotless knots being ideal.
