The Triton True-Pin extends the Youngs range of centrepin reels. Named after the ancient Greek God Triton, who was said to have the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish. The Triton True-Pin embodies the relationship between the angler and the fish, by offering the angler an unparalleled immersive experience which takes angling to the next level. True pin reels are considered by both the purist anglers and, probably more importantly, engineers as the reel deal (pun intended), providing anglers with a more direct fishing experience, making them feel not only more connected with their reel, but also at one with their surroundings. The Triton design is loosely based on the extremely popular, and now highly collectible Atom reel, of which only 150 were made as a limited edition. The Triton is a classic True-Pin design which spins directly on the centre spindle without any bearings. This offers anglers a truly traditional fishing experience like no other. True-pins are widely considered by anglers across the globe as the creme de la creme of reels.
This ultra stylish reel is anodised in a black lustre with brass style fittings to finish. The reel is fitted with 12 spokes and a micro-adjustable drag. The brass rod plate features the Beta-Light slot for night fishing.

The Triton is, in common with all J.W. Young’s reels, stunning to look at with a glossy black and brass finish. It has all the usual extras, presented in a British handmade padded pouch, individual serial number, warranty and certificate of manufacture.
