The two lightweight reels in the range are modelled on the standard BJ reel with all the same high quality features. However, the back plate has been machined out to give you an ultra-lightweight construction. The reduced weight will not only help to reduce fatigue over a long days fishing but will also feel great when connected to a high-quality rod to create the ultimate superlight trotting combo.

Both reels features click check, 2 ball bearings, micro-adjustable disc drag, unique cutaway cage less construction. All J.W. Young reels are made and built in the UK and come supplied in a presentation box with a reel pouch and certificate of authenticity.

Both the main body and spool are machined from the highest quality aluminium bar stock, grey anodised for protection. The reel is attached to your rod with a solid dovetailed aluminium rod plate anodised in pale gold.
