We recommend reel lines from 2lb 8oz to 4lb+ (1.1kg to 2kg) to be used with this rod. The rod has a lightning fast, crisp action, and a cushion tip that allows hooklengths from as low as 1lb (0.08) to 3lb 5oz (0.14) to be used with confidence on everything from silverfish to F1s and smaller carp.
