You’re probably wondering what SLK stands for, right? It stands for Shrimp, Liver, Krill, and was only really a nickname whilst it was being tested, but you know how these things stick…

This time around we aimed to create another complete food bait but with a totally natural angle to it. We went to great lengths to address the FLAA (First Limiting Amino Acid), creating a bait with the optimum digestible protein levels and quantities of lipid/fat sources. This ensures the carp’s dietary needs are met all year round. There are no synthetic flavours in this bait, and we believe one of the keys to the incredible success and longevity of this bait is down to its completely natural make-up

SLK Wafters:

These cork-dust wafters are designed to counterbalance your hook, creating the ultimate balanced alternative hookbait. They are available in 15mm round, 18mm round and barrel-shaped hookbaits and sold as a mixed pot of small (12mm x 15mm) and large (14mm x 18mm) dumbbells. These are available to match all of our current baits. They are ideal for wary carp and are easily trimmed to match your chosen hook size perfectly. Like our cork-dust pop-ups, these wafters are loaded with soluble attractors taken from the matching base mix.

SLK Pop Ups:

We believe our pop-ups are some of the best around. We spent a long time experimenting to come up with a pop-up that emits the exact same food signals and looks similar to the free offerings you are using. Utilising cork granules/pop-up mix and a unique powder blend which includes all the goodies from the relevant base mix, we’ve created what we feel are the ultimate food-bait pop-ups. Why use a pop-up that is giving off different food signals to the bait you are using? They aren’t quite as buoyant as a true airball pop-up due to the amount of soluble goodies we’ve crammed into them, but you should expect a 15mm bait to stay up all night on a standard rig. If you require a longer time than this, we would suggest either corking them out or alternatively using the 18mm versions, which will stay buoyant for days. The baits are available in 12mm, 15mm and 18mm.

SLK Liquidfood:

The same amino-liquid-based combinations used in the production of our freezer baits. Based around marine-extract proteins, liquid-meat extracts, vegetable extracts, spices and, where applicable, the same subtle flavours used in the relevant baits. Superb as bait soaks or additions to stick mixes and groundbaits. A useful tip is to cover some mid-protein carp pellets in this liquid and leave overnight to soak, giving you a perfectly matched pellet to your chosen freezer bait.

SLK Liquid Food – Containing an in-house produced gammarus shrimp-based liquid, Liver Hydrolysate, Krill Hydrolysate and a touch of Cod Liver Oil, this liquid food complements the base mix beautifully by screaming natural food signals.
