Crafted specifically for carp fishing enthusiasts, the Deeper Quest incorporates their expertise in sonar technology into a bait boat, that is high end yet easy to operate and reasonably priced for all that it can do whilst retaining a sleek appearance. This cutting-edge bait boat represents a leap forward in design and functionality and has been meticulously developed in-house, to offer a seamless blend of high-end technology and user-friendly features, providing anglers with an unparalleled advantage on the water.
The incorporation of smart sonar technology, a hallmark of Deeper since 2013, ensures that anglers can explore and understand the underwater terrain like never before. With a 400-metre range for both the sonar and the bait boat and able to scan an area to create bathymetric maps or set a multipoint path while you set up the rest of your gear and prepare the bait, or just chill out. Once the spots have been found you can GPS back with ease (GPS accuracy is 1m).
With up to 9 hours of run time and a fast charge of just 3 hours will get you back up and running should you run out of juice. A full charge doesn’t take much longer, just 4 hours. If you should run out of power, Deeper Quest will come back to a set home point. It'll also power on when it's in the water.
The 2 BLDC electric motors, which pack some serious power and reach a speed of 3 km/h offer powerful, efficient, durable performance, and are near silent when going slow. All of this is operated by the small black semi-transparent 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi controller weighing in at just 140g. The Quest controller will last up to 12 hours before you need to charge it again. You can quickly charge it to 80% in 1 hour or fully charge it in 2 hours.
The chirp offers all of the same great features, from its 3 beam frequency module, enabling you to explore a bigger area using the 47° (100 kHz) wide-angle beam, take a closer look with the 20° (240kHz) mid beam, or close in on specific points with a 7° (675kHz) narrow angle beam from its CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radiated Pulse) sonar, that emits out a continuous flow of frequencies, ranging from low to high. Because of this, the sonar readings are much clearer and have a higher resolution compared to traditional sonars, whilst providing a target separation of 1 cm, so you’ll be able to easily pinpoint target species even when they are amongst a school of bait fish.
With CHIRP sonar, surface clutter and noise are minimal, so you can expect precise sonar readings in very shallow water and locate fish as close as 15 cm from the water’s surface. To the other extreme, you will be able to distinguish bottom huggers in water as deep as 100m.
