Black Widow Plus truly is rod evolution. 

The lightest editions we have ever created, they also delivered tremendous casting performances during tests. This combined with their remarkable fish control makes it difficult to believe their price.

Combining innovative blank design with a progressive action sees a rod that can ‘hit the distances’ and deliver an enjoyable, forgiving fish playing action. And thanks to lightweight skeletal guides each rod weight and its tip speed is enhanced even further.

Suited to smaller venues, shorter casting ranges and where any boat work is required there are two 10’ models in 3.0 and 3.5lb test curves. Offering amazing handling and delightful fish control, these are complimented by a meaty but still light 10’ 4.5lb Spod/Marker. 

Three choices are offered in 12’; 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0lbs. The 12’ 3lb has been designed with small-mid size waters in mind and for those who prefer a slightly softer rod. The 12’ 3.5lb model is the perfect all-rounder in the range and the 12’ 4lb is the ‘casting rod’ for fishing at distance or using solid bags. They too are joined by a 12’ 4.5lb Spod/Marker. 

And where bigger 100yd + distances are the challenge and an altogether longer option is called for the 13’ 4.0lb will certainly deliver, in a BIG way. In tests this edition truly shone, consistently smashing through the 150yd barrier.

The refinement of every model is also easy to see with the well-considered guide positioning on the end of the tips, 12” and 24” markers on the Spod models and the subtle red strands hidden within the thread wrapping.
