Century have been manufacturing rods from our UK factory for over 45 years and when you buy a Stealth Graphex you benefit from knowing we have been in complete control of the rod design, raw materials, component choice, factory staff, quality standards and future after sales service.

The manufacturing process of the Stealth Graphex uses machines and technology that is not available to other rod manufacturers and comes from our links to industry and motorsport that demand it.

Autoclaving parts adds huge pressure during the heat curing process to produce a carbon wall that will be more compact, free of air bubbles and voids which means the rod will last years longer without softening up like most carp rods normally suffer.
Computer controlled cutting machines will cut precise carbon patterns to a fraction of a mm and allow carbon patterns that have different shapes which is not possible by normal hand cutting processes. This ensures each carbon pattern used in the blank manufacturing is finely balanced and fits perfectly each time with the numerous other carbon patterns inside the Stealth blank.
Carbon placement machine and pre calculated CAD designs allows us to lay material at different angles which change at various points along the blank to account for the blanks taper.
These manufacturing technologies unique to Century has allowed us to create a carp blank with the highest resistance to torsional load and immense anti twist properties which benefits you during the cast as it reduces line friction on guides to achieve further distance for less effort and aids accuracy.

The carbon material used within the Stealth Graphex is one of the highest modulus available in the carbon industry but significantly it has been reinforced with a Graphene reinforced resin system. This combination allows us to make the blank lighter than normal carp rods as we can use less material while still having an incredibly high strength and toughness for its weight. The benefit to the angler is a lighter rod in the hands when casting with faster tip speed recovery but also results in an incredibly nice fish playing action.

The Stealth Graphex rods have been produced in two different rod finish options to cater for each angler’s personal build preference, whether that is the modern style or a more traditional style rod. The modern style has a full shrink rubber handle version featuring the standout Alps Waveform Matt Black reelseat. The traditional build has an abbreviated shrink rubber handle and Century carbon reelseat with bespoke matt black metal hoods and lock rings. This traditional build version results in a slightly lighter overall rod weight than the modern style due to weight saving in the shrink rubber and the carbon r/s. The modern style though when compared to any other rod on the market is still a lighter rod if a similar power/performance.

The guides are the same on both finish options and adds to the premium nature of this rod. We are using Black Titanium framed guides which have a thin lightweight Torzite SiC liner. Titanium guides are rarely used on carp rods due their expense but they flex better with the blank during compression and fish playing while saving overall weight from the rod
