Carp Rig Boxes FAQs

How does specialist tackle and rig boxes differ from standard storage boxes?

What are the benefits of using? They will often come with compartments designed to carry the smaller terminal tackle parts that most anglers carry to maximise space, with easier access and clear windows to see the contents, as well as a rig board to safely secure your rigs, and prevent the rig hooks being damaged and blunted.

What size box will I need?

This depends entirely on the volume you wish to transport with you on any given session.

Will the boxes keep tackle safe/protected whilst being transported?

This is their primary purpose.

Are the boxes waterproof?

Most tackle boxes will be waterproof but they will not be fully watertight if submerged.

Can the boxes be locked?

Some come with locking tabs or will be magnetic close.

What are the main differences between the more expensive boxes and the cheaper options?

More expensive boxes will be stronger materials, and more ergonomic in their design to provide maximum storage in as small volume as possible.
