Barbel are extremely good at picking out smells in the water. They are constantly searching for food to give them more energy. This is why smellier baits definitely help anglers catch more barbel.
We’ve combined three things that barbel simply cannot resist into one bag of groundbait to give you the best possible chance of attracting barbel into you swim! So, what are those things? Fishmeal, Hempseed and Meat Extracts!
This strong, meaty smelling groundbait is packed full of top quality ingredients to attract barbel to your swim. It is a sticky mix, that will stay in your feeder for longer than traditional groundbaits, allowing flavour to leak off into the river, with little feed amount. This way the barbel won’t get pre-occupied on your feed and find your hookbait quicker!
Why not check out the Barbel Feed Pellets and Barbel Hookbaits for the ultimate barbel bait combination.
MIXING GUIDELINES
Barbel Groundbait is simple to mix. For best results, empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2 pint bait tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. Then for best results; to remove any lumps and create an even consistency, pass the groundbait through a riddle and it is ready to pack into a feeder.
