Food dips can be used in a similar way to the Boilie Dips but as their name suggests are based on liquid food ingrediants such as soluble liver, Carpmino, malts and sugars, syrups and many more ingrediants that all have terrific carp pulling power and nutritional benefits when ingested.
Being water soluble the food dips attract in the area of the bait rather than rising to the surface like the boilie dips do which is much better in the winter but in the summer it’s a very good ploy to blend the two together to get the best of both, the food dip sort of emulsifies the boilie dip so there is a constant stream of tiny oil specks rising to the surface but also a cloud of flavour and food signals near the bait, very attractive especially if fishing in early spring weed.
Food dips are not 100% PVA friendly but can be put directly into PVA bags with easily enough time to cast the rig out.
